Security Evolutions, Inc. (SEI) was founded in 2003 as a premiere, IT security consulting, training, and development organization.  SEI initially provided content development and educational delivery service for (ISC)² Institute.  Led by Mr. David Kim, SEI currently provides IT security training and consulting services for government, international airports, Fortune 1000, banking, financial, manufacturing, and healthcare verticals around the world.  SEI’s technical expertise and experience includes enterprise IP data networking infrastructures, VoIP and SIP-enabled communications, network management, IT operations, and assisting organizations with large-scale procurements and RFPs.

SEI focuses on compliance services, providing clients with compliance audits, and security risk assessments.  These compliance services include compliance checklists, identifying gaps, and recommending specific remediation strategies.  Our compliance services include the following verticals:

SEI’s commitment to educating and training students and IT professionals is demonstrated by its history in providing IT security, information assurance, and skills-set readiness hands-on labs development for many organizations.  In 2008, SEI was hired by Jones & Bartlett Learning (www.jblearning.com) as the lead IT security & information assurance architect and curriculum designer.  In this role, SEI assisted with the design and mapping of various IT security professional certification learning objectives into the Information Systems Security & Assurance (www.issaseries.com) curriculum.  Mr. Kim authored and designed the Fundamentals of Information Systems Security and Information Systems Security Capstone book, courseware, and hands-on labs for the curriculum.

In addition, SEI was hired to design and develop 130, hands-on skills-set readiness labs in support of the ISSA curriculum.  These 130, hands-on labs total more than 12,000+ minutes of Cyber-Security and Information Assurance skills-set readiness learning activities.  A complete, online, experiential learning environment was built providing students with a safe and secure means to practice ethical hacking, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing on a mock IT infrastructure.  This online, experiential learning hands-on labs environment mimics a real-world IT infrastructure with live workstations, servers, databases, applications, and tools commonly used by Cyber-Security warriors and Information Systems Security professionals.  The ISSA experiential learning hands-on labs are hosted by Toolwire, Inc. (www.toolwire.com) within the Virtual Security Cloud Lab (VSCL) online environment.  Students are equipped with lab manuals, lab scenarios, demo videos with audio narrations for each hands-on lab providing students with a complete, self-study program.  Students are provided with unlimited access to the VSCL online laboratory to perform their hands-on lab activities for the semester they are enrolled.
